I believe the decisions we make create our “destiny.” It isn’t some magical force that simply happens to us. Of course, we cannot choose the family we’re born into or always control our early circumstances. But everything that follows is shaped by our own choices.

Life is a lot like playing a video game in story mode. You’re given options — do you take the path through the woods or follow the river? Do you wear this outfit or the other? Do you go to the party with your friends, or stay home?

We are the authors of our own fate. While we can’t control every obstacle placed in our path, we can control how we respond to them. Maybe you choose the path along the river and discover a beautiful waterfall. Maybe you wear the outfit that gives you confidence and suddenly opportunities find you. Maybe you decide to go out that night and end up meeting someone who changes your life.

Anything is possible — but nothing happens if we remain stagnant.
